What we do

Faster, simpler and more affordable HPTLC

chromnil GmbH is a Swiss startup from Zurich making high-performance thin-layer chromatography (HPTLC) faster, simpler and more affordable.

We develop a fully integrated device that combines all HPTLC process steps into one compact, automated system with high analytical precision.

Our solution enables laboratories to detect known and unknown contaminants more efficiently, supporting safer products across industries such as pharmaceuticals, food, cosmetics, and environmental analysis.

The open-source system behind chromnil one has been validated in peer-reviewed studies and is in use in laboratories in Germany and Austria, among them an official food-control laboratory. We work closely with these users and with our first customers.
